Why KMVA

Why KMVA Exists

Music videos are essential to the K-POP experience, yet they have long been treated as a side note to music awards. KMVA exists to independently spotlight every creator behind a music video — directors, cinematographers, editors, VFX artists, and stylists — while letting fans directly shape the outcome through voting.

KMVA is run as a consortium co-hosted by the Korea Music Video Association and World Kpop Center, with Danal as the official payment partner — built not as a one-time event, but as an awards ceremony that returns every year. More about our partners →
